Setting up a POP email account in ThunderBird

In this tutorial we will guide you the steps to set up a pop email account on ThunderBird.

  1. Go to file menu to continue.
  2. Click on New
  3. Click on Existing email account
  4. Enter your name and email id
  5. Type your password
  6.  Check the option *remember password* If you want to remember the password
  7. Click on continue
  8. Let’s choose manual config to choose the settings manually.
  9. Select POP3 protocol
  10. Under server hostname make sure it says mail.yourdomain.com
  11. Authentication should be set to Normal Password, Select it from drop down.
  12. SMTP will be selected by default. Make sure the server hostname is mail.yourdomain.com.
  13. SMTP port should be set to 25
  14. Authentication should be set to Normal Password.
  15. Click on Done to finish the setup.
