For security reasons, SSH access to your server can be blocked at the firewall level. Before you can connect to your account via SSH, you have to add your local IP address to the firewall.
Find your IP address.
Log into your WHM. (Web Host Manager)
Click the “Add IP to Firewall” link in the left menu.
Enter your IP address in the “Allow Rule:” field and click the “Add Rule / Restart” button.
Note: There are cases when extra IPs are allocated to a server but they still do not ping or react,To resolve this you can our article on how to start IPs on the server.
