While starting Remote Access and routing services from Windows 2008 server, The following error is observed in the Event Viewer:
Unable to load C:\Windows\System32\iprtrmgr.dll.
This error can occur if you have removed IPv6 from Windows 2008 server via the registry.
To fix the issue Start wanarpv6.
If it fails check if file is presented and has correct size.
:C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\wanarp.sys
If it is still failing you will need to remove the registry key called ‘IPv6′ under the:
‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\currentcontrolset\servi ces\remoteaccess\routermanagers\’
Just remove the key above and start the Routing and Remote Access service.
