Known cPanel ELevate Blockers<\/h2>\n

Before starting, verify and resolve all blockers that may impede the upgrade process.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Backup Your Accounts<\/h3>\n

Ensure all accounts and data are backed up securely.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Access the Server’s Command Line<\/h3>\n

Log in as the ‘root’ user via SSH.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Update Packages<\/h3>\n

Run the following command to update any out-of-date packages.<\/p>\n

yum update<\/p>\n

Step 4: Update cPanel<\/h3>\n

RUN following command the cPanel update script.<\/p>\n

\/scripts\/upcp<\/p>\n

Step 5: Reboot the Server<\/h3>\n

Restart the server to apply the updates.<\/p>\n

shutdown -r now<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Step 6: Re-Access the Server’s Command Line<\/h3>\n

After the server reboots, log back in as the ‘root’ user via SSH.<\/p>\n

Step 7: Download the cPanel ELevate Script<\/h3>\n

Download and set permissions for the cPanel ELevate script.<\/p>\n

wget -O \/scripts\/elevate-cpanel https:\/\/raw.githubusercontent.com\/cpanel\/elevate\/release\/elevate-cpanel chmod<\/span> 700 \/scripts\/elevate-cpanel<\/p>\n

Step 8: Check for Upgrade Blockers<\/h3>\n

Run the script to check for any upgrade blockers.<\/p>\n

\/scripts\/elevate-cpanel –check<\/p>\n

If all the issues are resolved you can run the following command to start te upgrade process.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The upgrade process takes approximately 90 minutes and involves multiple reboots. Some reboots may take longer than usual. It is crucial not to interrupt the upgrade process.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 12: Check the Upgrade Status<\/h3>\n

You can check the current status of the upgrade by running the following commands.<\/p>\n
