Categories help to organize your products in order to help your customers find them easily. It divides them up into logical groups. Follow the guidelines below to learn how to create a new category in your PrestaShop<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Sign in to your PretaShop admin area.<\/li>\n
  2. Click on the Catalog<\/strong> section on the left side-bar and click on the Categories<\/strong> option from the secondary menu.<\/li>\n
  3. Now, click on the Add New Category<\/strong> button located in the right corner of the screen.<\/li>\n
  4. This is the main Category screen, fill in the proper details for your new category. \u00a0There are two required fields that must contain data in order to successfully create a category.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Name: This is the name of your category.\r\nFriendly URL: This will be the name of your URL for the category.<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n
    Once done click on the Save<\/strong> button in the lower right corner to save your new category.<\/span><\/p>\n
    The new category will now display in the store\u00a0admin\u00a0under the Categories list. It will also show on your storefront under the Category<\/strong> section of your page.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
