In this article we will show you how to enable Var Log \u00a0messages in Ubuntu.<\/span><\/p>\n

By default log messages are not written to the file \/var\/log\/messages<\/em><\/strong> in Ubuntu<\/a> . In order to enable this, we can do the following:<\/span><\/p>\n

Go to\u00a0\/etc\/rsyslog.d<\/em><\/strong>. Open the file 50-default.conf<\/em><\/strong> and uncomment the following lines<\/p>\n

Once done, save the file and restart rsyslog service.<\/span><\/p>\n
