There might be a situation when you want to change the URL or domain name of your Magento website. In this article we will show you how to change the URL of your<\/span> Magneto<\/a> website.<\/span><\/p>\n

Changing URL in the Dashboard<\/h2>\n
    \n
  1. To change your website URL login to your Magneto\u00a0dashboard<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n
  2. In the main menu, roll your mouse over System<\/strong>, and click Configuration<\/strong>.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. On the next screen click the Web<\/strong> button\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. On the Web<\/strong> menu, click the Unsecure<\/strong> link, and it will drop down. In the Base URL<\/strong>section, update your URL.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Click the Secure<\/strong> link now. Fill in the Base URL<\/em>\u00a0section.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. When you are finished,Click the Save Config<\/strong> button in the top right.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Clear your Magneto cache.<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Changing URL in phpMyAdmin<\/h2>\n

    You can also change your Magento website URL through phpmyadmin.<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Login to your cPanel<\/a><\/li>\n
    2. Click on\u00a0phpMyAdmin<\/strong>\u00a0in the Databases<\/em> section.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Select\u00a0the database that is associated wit your Magento website.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Find the\u00a0table ending in core_config_data<\/strong>, and click it.<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. In\u00a0column, locate and update the URL in following lines, by clicking the Edit<\/strong> buttons:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
