We use Config Server Firewall (CSF)\u00a0on our Cpanel server, a good one and strongly integrated with WHM. This weekend a\u00a0tweaking resulted in\u00a0many many emails notifications from LFD which is very annoying. The content of notifications emails is like:<\/span><\/p>\n

excessive resource usage notifications<\/span><\/p>\n

and<\/span><\/p>\n

Suspicious process running under user XXXX<\/span><\/p>\n

It seems normal and nothing to worry about it, you can take following steps to disable these notifications.<\/span><\/p>\n

To disable these messages from WHM:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Navigate to\u00a0Plugins >>\u00a0ConfigServer Security & Firewall >> firewall\u00a0configuration<\/span><\/p>\n

Search for PT_LIMIT and set it 0 to disable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are getting excessive memory usage alerts which are false flags, set PT_USERMEM to 0 .<\/span><\/p>\n

Once you are done Restart CSF<\/p>\n

csf -r<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/div>\n
If you need to disable all kind of Alerts, you need to edit \/etc\/csf\/csf.conf<\/span> file and then In csf.conf<\/span> search for: “EMAIL_ALERT<\/b>” and then you can disable it, there are several kind of email alerts in that csf.conf<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
