Usually this\u00a0happens if you terminated a cpanel account and trying\u00a0to restore it from backup but somehow the\u00a0MySQL\u00a0user was not deleted properly.
\nYou get this error:
\n[wpfmb type=’error’ theme=2]Account Creation Status: failed (Sorry, a MySQL user with the name test356 already exists.)Account Restore Failed.[\/wpfmb]
\nSolution :<\/strong> \u00a0Try deleting the mentioned user.<\/p>\n

mysql\r\nmysql > use mysql;\r\nmysql > drop user test356@localhost;\r\n<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n
OR
\nYou can also check this using :<\/p>\n
\n
mysql> delete from mysql.user where user=\u2019test356\u2032;<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n
Now try restoring\/recreating account and see if you still receive the error.<\/p>\n
If yes \u00a0then do:<\/p>\n
\n
grep test356 \/var\/cpanel\/databases\/users.db\r\ngrep test356 \/etc\/dbowners\r\n<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n
If the user exist in the above files, delete and try again.
\nIt will fix the error.
