Sometimes when you Import database using phpMyAdmin<\/a>,generally you are importing a written text file with a .sql extension.<\/span>
\nIn this example, the database we are trying to import is known as wordpress_3 .<\/strong><\/span>
\nWhen using phpMyAdmin to import such a file,receive an error message similar to:<\/span>
\n\"wordpress_3\"<\/a>
\nIn this situation, my cPanel login name is kashifta. Because of cPanel’s database naming conventions, all database titles must start with the cPanel login name followed by an _. we cannot make a database known as wordpress_3, however we can make a database known as kashifta_wordpress_3.<\/span>
\nSo this import is failed because of the following line in the .sql file (shown above)<\/span>
\nTo fix the issue, We will need to:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Create the:\u00a0kashifta_wordpress_3\u00a0<\/strong>database within cPanel<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Remove\u00a0the:\u00a0CREATE DATABASE\u00a0<\/strong>command in my .sql file.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Or you can comment out \u00a0the line,To do this, simply change:\u00a0CREATE DATABASE wordpress_3;\u00a0<\/strong>to\u00a0— CREATE DATABASE wordpress_3;\u00a0<\/strong>You are simply adding dash dash space to the front of the line to comment it out so that it will not be executed.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Log into phpMyAdmin, access the\u00a0kashifta_wordpress_3\u00a0<\/strong>database, and then import as normal.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
