Google’s SMTP Server Settings

Gmail is a wonderful webmail application. GMail SMTP settings are used to send emails through Google’s SMTP servers via your application or services. If you want to use SMTP e-mail configuration and you wonder how to set it up with a Gmail account, use the following settings.

Previously we have discuss how to set up your domain email address over Gmail.

GMail SMTP Settings:

Gmail SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
Gmail SMTP user: [email protected] (Your Gmail Address)
Gmail SMTP password: Your Gmail password / App Password
Gmail SMTP port -
For TLS: 587
For SSL: 465
TLS/SSL Required: yes

Generate App password (for 2-Step Verification Users)
If you have enabled 2-Step verification for your email account, you have to create an app password to use as Gmail SMTP password in above settings. To generate app password login to your Gmail account and follow below steps.
• Go to https://myaccount.google.com/
• Go to “App passwords”
• Click on Select App >> Other (Custom name)
• Enter App Name and Click GENERATE
It will generate a new app password and show on-screen. Copy this password and use it for Gmail SMTP settings in your settings.
